About

Why QuantEngine exists.

Most systematic traders spend the majority of their time on work that has nothing to do with trading. They write data loaders. They chase down a timezone bug in a backtester they wrote themselves. They reconcile broker fills against expected fills by hand. They patch a script at 9:14 because the exchange changed a field name overnight. The research that's supposed to produce edge gets whatever time is left.

At the top of the market, the infrastructure problem is solved. Citadel, Jane Street, Optiver, Jump, and a handful of others have spent decades and hundreds of millions of dollars building the stack we're describing. Below that tier, almost everyone rebuilds a worse version of it. It's an enormous amount of duplicated effort, and most of it never gets finished.

QuantEngine exists to close that gap. We do it in two ways. The first is a platform — execution infrastructure and live deployment that you can plug into instead of building. The second is a services arm — strategy research, backtesting, and custom engineering — for the work that doesn't fit into a product.
